Luckily hate crimes against overt gay Asian boys are pretty rare in Thailand. Katoeys freely strutt their stuff and nobody pays much attention. It is different in other parts of the world such as the US and Europe, as this murder of a gay teen in Florida sadly shows us. The guy was just 17 years old when he was shot.
